J. Robin Miller- Founder of LCA and Teacher
J. Robin most recently starred alongside Anthony Anderson
(The Departed, Transformers, Law & Order) in Academy
Award nominated writer/director Rob Pearlstein's new film
MATUMBO GOLDBERG, which has become a hit on Will Ferrell's
comedy website FunnyorDie.com. The film has also been selected
by the LA Times Entertainment Funny 2.0 blog and will compete
in the Nashville Film Festival this spring. J. Robin can
also be seen currently in her "green" Edison Power
commercial.
J. Robin is probably best known for her role on ABC's General
Hospital as Lydia Karenin Cassadine, but she has thoroughly
enjoyed her work in independent films, TV pilots and recurring
and guest starring roles on primetime television, including
Andy Barker P.I., NCIS, Crossing Jordan, CSI, That 70's Show,
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Just Shoot Me, Beverly Hills 90210
and many more.
As passionate about teaching as she is acting, J. Robin
founded LCA to give newer actors an opportunity to learn
from her experienced team of working actors.

Cari Shayne- LCA's Guest Teacher
Originally a Midwest native, Cari Shayne moved to New York City at the age of 17 after having been
discovered at an "Acting Seminar" in St. Louis. Her first professional break came when Shayne was cast as Karen Wexler, co-starring with Antonio Sabato Jr. in the number one daytime drama General Hospital , propelling her into the national spotlight early in her career. However, a move to prime time is what served to broaden her appeal to a wider audience when she joined the cast of the hit FOX drama Party of Five .
People Magazine called her "Luminous" as Naomi Judd in the NBC miniseries about Naomi & Wynnona Judd and she turned heads with performances in the CBS movies The Price of Heaven , directed by award winning director Peter Bogdanovich , Louisa May Alcott's: The Inheritance , Dancing At The Harvest Moon , and Shaugnessy as well as the Sundance Film Festival favorite Jack The Dog . Cari has also made regular appearances on such television series as American Dreams , The Division, Star Trek Voyager and is remembered by many Beverly Hills, 90210 fans for her heart-breaking performance as Matt Durning's Schizophrenic wife Lauren. Shayne also starred in the television pilots, Forbidden Island , and Dope , in which she co-starred with Jason Priestly .
Shayne is currently filming Cold Case for CBS and recently appeared in the first ever action series made for mobil and broadband platforms, Flatland , from the producers of Million Dollar Baby and The Godfather , starring Dennis Hopper .
Laura Maccabee- LCA Teacher
Laura graduated with a Theatre degree from the prestigious Cornell University and continued her
studies at the famed Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute.
Laura is a seasoned theatre professional, starring in the New York productions of Four Dogs & A Bone, Upside Down, Alice & The Cat, Suburbia, Medea & Twelve Angry Men, just to name a few.
Upon moving to Los Angeles, Miss Maccabee has accumulated an impressive list of credits in independent films! A partial list of the films include: Breakfast Clubbed, Red, History of Food, Drip: A Documentary, Kodachrome, Chaplin's Last, and Silverware.
